The team at CSCP are still gathering your views and getting ready to launch the next phase of our work, but you have already helped us identify seven core aims that our work on the Cambridge Latin Course needs to achieve:
- Preserve the integration of culture, stories and language learning
- Maintain the narrative strength of ongoing storylines and characters
- Ensure suitability and accessibility for all classrooms, with special focus on funding, time and exam pressures
- Improve representation of different sectors of society
- Update the course to reflect current views on sensitive issues and associated language
- Ensure cultural background and stories are in line with latest research
- Create a user-friendly online platform to house digital materials
Caecilius is still listening!
Many thanks to everyone who took part in our Caecilius is Listening! event on Saturday, 3rd November, 2018.
Following on from that very successful and lively meeting, we are inviting teachers and learners who have used the UK/International editions of the CLC to take part in our Caecilius is Listening! survey. Here you will see some ideas that emerged from our November event and be able to add your own thoughts and priorities to what we have already heard. You are welcome to take part in this survey whether or not you attended the original event.

We are setting up an online community of Latin teaching specialists who will be invited to view, comment on and trial ideas and materials produced for the CLC before their release to the general public. We are keen to have a wide range of individuals and views represented on our panel, but will have limited spaces available.
